NorthEast Retreat – Building Memories With Mahatma Parivaar
This year, the much awaited Northeast Retreat took place at the Split Rock Resort in Mt. Laurel, White Haven, Pennsylvania from September 23-25. For those who are not familiar with the Poconos area, it is a mountainous region encompassing lakes, forested peaks, valleys, trails, waterfalls, and bridges. To experience the beauty of nature came together over 250 Mahatmas from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland.
The retreat began with a welcome dinner on Friday evening and preparation for an upcoming power-packed day. The first half of Saturday was a mashup of various outdoor activities including boating, kayaking, banana-boating, and paddle-boating in a nearby lake, as well as an adventure in an indoor waterpark at Split Rock itself called “H20ooohh.” A post-retreat survey indicated that Mahatmas of all ages thoroughly enjoyed the activities, especially boating!
The latter half of Saturday afternoon was spent indoors playing fun and creative satsang games organized by Mahatma Dr. Ajaybhai Shah from NJ. The afternoon concluded with a promo video for the upcoming Gurupurnima, a testament by all the mahatmas to work hard and with sambhaav throughout the process of planning, and a powerful Jagat Kalyan Bhavna for a memorable event. The momentum and energy built with this bhavna carried through until after dinner, as all the Mahatmas participated in garba. The new garba track truly got everyone excited as they danced the night away with togetherness, lost in Dada’s dhoons.
Sunday was the day of farewell. While the Mahatmas did not want to part with each other, they knew they would be returning home with many memories built with their satsang parivaar. (Pictures captured by our news reporters on spot)
